About
The Department of Educational Sciences started its activities in 1983 as an affiliate of the Faculty of Technical Education and served both at undergraduate and graduate level. Since 1998, after the Faculty of Education started to actively admit students, this department has continued its activities within the Faculty of Education.
Within the department;
Among these departments, there are graduate programmes in the fields of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Administration. In both departments, master's and doctoral programmes with/without thesis/online master's and doctoral programmes are actively available.
The Department of Educational Sciences, which aims to contribute to the education of the country with the knowledge it will produce and the services it will provide in the context of universal and ethical values with its rich faculty and staff, provides undergraduate education at the Faculty of Education. In addition to providing education at the graduate level, it is a department that provides services to both domestic and international students within the scope of Pedagogical Formation Education.
Our department is responsible for the implementation of the pedagogical formation training courses of the education faculty departments that train teachers at the undergraduate level in coordination with the departments, as well as the implementation of the pedagogical formation training course. In addition, in the 2016-2017 academic year, pedagogical formation training course was organised for Ghanaian foreign students in English for two semesters.
